The workshop will focus on the most innovative aspects of detection systems and techniques developed in nuclear and particle fields. Many recent studies investigate the correlated production of charged and neutral particles in a wide dynamic range, as well as the identification of particles at extreme energies or in environments characterized by very high radiation density. The common requirement of such studies is an appropriate detection system.
Simulation tools and related applications will be discussed during dedicated sessions given their recognized value in planning and executing experiments in the fields of applied and fundamental physics.
The workshop will also deal with applications of detection techniques in medicine, industrial processes and every other field of social interest, such as container scanning or radioactive waste monitoring.
