In the last years, the use of CO2 contrast medium instead of iodine for angiographic procedures has rapidly increased due to the growing problem of iodine intolerance and availability of new easy-to-use automatic or manual injection systems. Despite a quite long interval from the proposal of this radiological procedure and a non enthusiastic acceptance by radiologists, the recent technological and clinical upgrading is steeply increasing the number of procedures, highlighting the real diagnostic potential and the lack of a deep knowledge of the biomechanical and radiological aspects. This conference will face all these aspects and represents the right opprtunity to further explore these issues and openly discuss together with clinicians and technicians.
