ESTRO - Research course in RT Physics

COURSE CONTENT

  1. Discussions on research projects submitted by participants, aiming at improving the projects, and to learn, by example from peers and the expert faculty, how to turn research ideas into a successful project.
  2. Lectures
    • Trends, unresolved issues and research opportunities in:
    1. MR imaging in radiotherapy (including dose painting)
    2. PET imaging in radiotherapy (including dose painting)
    3. IGRT and adaptive therapy to compensate for anatomical variations
    4. Physics and technology in personalised medicine

Radiation Protection Dosimetry and Accreditation of IMS: Secrets & Solutions

The 5th EURADOS Training Course on Radiation Protec- tion Dosimetry is an initiative of the EURADOS working group on Harmonization of Individual Monitoring (WG02). The authors of the Technical Recommendation RP160 were all members of the WG02 and in 2012 initiated this series of training courses. During the years, the scope of the Training Course was broadened, but still follows in its basic ideas the RP160 document.

AAMPM & ÖGMP Meeting

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!
Dear Colleagues!

It is our privilege and our pleasure to invite you to Graz for the 9th Alpe-Adria Medical Physics Meeting (AAMPM) and the Annual Meeting of the Austrian Society for Medical Physics (ÖGMP), which takes place from 16.5 - 18.5.2019 at the Medical University of Graz.

2019 NACP-RPC CT optimization course

The Nordic Association of clinical physics (NACP) has planned to organise a very relevant CT optimization course. Our goal is to give the participants useful and practical tools to start their own optimization processes at their radiological departments.

Predictive models of toxicity in radiotherapy

This is one of five ESTRO-member-selected workshops within the “2nd ESTRO Physics Workshop Science and Development” , taking place October 26-27 in Malaga (Spain).

The workshop is intended to cover in an integrated way 8 sub-topics:

1.    Data quality and data collection: sharing issues  and Standardization issues

Lectures on MR 2018 - RF-Coils: Design and build your own coil

The course on RF coils: Design and build your own coil provides an overview of the basic principles of designing, constructing and testing of RF coils for both animal and human scanners. Practical sessions will cover approximately 50% of the course, in which participants will learn to build surface and volume RF coils relevant to their particular interests. More advanced topics include double-tuned coils and coil arrays. Finally, components such as hybrids, couplers, shields, baluns and isolation circuits are discussed.

International School on Magnetic Resonance and Brain Function

The workshop is focused on, brain function and structure, physiology and metabolism, as assessed with Magnetic Resonance and compatible techniques. The Workshop is open to physicists, clinicians, and basic scientists.
